Porto Airport Shops

Porto airport has 34 stores; four of these are located before the security checkpoint, so they are available to passengers and visitors, where the other 30 are all in the departures lounge and only accessible to passengers.

The stores found before security are all convenience stores. There are two Relay stores (one in the arrivals hall and one in the departures hall), which sell newspapers, magazines and other types of press materials, and two Cores Doces stores (one in the arrivals hall and one in the departures hall). This store sells sweets, so it is a dream place for anyone with a sweet tooth. You will find a variety of sweets such as gummies, chocolate's, lollipops and marshmallows. If you want to treat your children this is the places to go, but it is appealing to any age group.

In the departures lounge, there is far greater variety. There are 4 souvenir stores selling handicrafts goods and gifts, 18 stores selling fashion accessories, as well as jewellery stores, duty-free stores and a technology store. If you are looking to buy a souvenir for a family member or friend, my personal favourite is Portfolio. This store sells many handicraft goods with a Portuguese influence. Artesanato do Aeroporto is also good for pottery or crockery with a Porto theme.

If you are looking to buy some duty-free good before you depart, you will find 2 stores. One is located in the Schengen departures area, and the other in the Non-Schengen departures area. As you would expect, you can pick up loads of items such as liquors, cigarettes and perfumes with no duty, as well of Portuguese delicacies.

The departures lounge are is superb, and to highlight this, the Airports Council International ranked Porto airport as the 3rd best airport in Europe and 1st for the best airport in Europe for its size. Both of these rankings came in 2016 and they factor in the facilities, such as the shops, for the courtesy of its staff and cleanliness. With rankings like this, you can expect good experience!
