Places to Eat and Drink
If you are planning to eat at the airport whilst you are waiting to board, there are a number of quality restaurants and cafes that serve anything from light snacks to a three-course meal. There is also American style and Portuguese style breakfasts available if you are on a morning flight.
If you enjoy Portuguese food or want to try it before you depart, A Francesinha is a favourite among passengers. This restaurant started in Porto and it offers some of the best local cuisine available. Douro is another place, and it is my personal favourite for traditional Portuguese food. If you are looking for a change, there is the Italian House for Italian food and Sushi Passion for Sushi.
For lighter food, the cafes and self-service stores are ideal. Deli&Cia is the ideal choice if you are looking for a healthy choice, as all their food has natural ingredients and they offer salads, wraps and sandwiches. You will find similar products in the La Pause self-service store, and there is a café called Quiosque dos Sabores that sells many pastry type products. If none of these sounds appealing, then there is also a Burger King, which has a very cosy seating area.
If you just fancy a coffee or hot drink, check out one of the coffee shops. There are three to choose from the departures hall; Costa Coffee, Quiosque dos Sabores and Caffriccio. Which one you visit will really depend on the type of coffee you like, but obviously, Costa Coffee is one of the most popular for British travellers.
There are two more coffee shops located before security. There is another Costa Coffee and a Delta Café Central. These are very popular places if you are waiting for a passenger to land or just want to say farewell to a passenger departing.
